Nashville country artist Sean Patrick McGraw, an alumnus of USA Networks Nashville Star has toured hard since his brief stint on the show in 2004, averaging over 150 shows a year throughout the US, Canada and England. Describing his music as "Lyle Lovett singing Springsteen songs wearing Dwight Yoakum's hat," McGraw is an award winning songwriter (2007 Independent Music Awards, MountainStage New Song Competition) as well. Critics have embraced several independent releases offered up by the artist, Music Row’s Robert K Oermann hailing 2008's "Long Way From Slowin’ Down" CD as "The finest Independent release I’ve heard all year.
Live performances of tracks form the release can be seen on CMT’s "Unplugged Sessions at Studio 330."

My career as a country singer starts in Southern California. I moved out there after college thinkin Id play guitar for a rock band, but after a lil while out west I found myself spending more time writing songs, less time pickin, and I was playing these folksy song-writer shows out at The Highland Grounds and Mama Pajama and I got some label interest that led to some open doors in Nashville that led to me moving back east. So, I got to Nashvegas and worked construction for awhile before I signed my first writing deal. I made a record around that time and shopped it and that led to me singing for this awesome band THE UNFORGIVEN that consisted of guys from Faith Hills band and LeeAnn Womacks band and we hit the Row hard and shook hands with a couple labels, but you know how bands go...and then I went to work writing songs for CURB for awhile and that went well enough, I got a few things recorded: I had a song in a movie, and a single with Dean Miller (son of legend Roger Miller) that got on the Billboard charts and put us on the road and on the Opry (playing MY song, how cool is that?) Cool enough, I guess, and then not long after that I went and stood in line with 1,200 other people for the Nashville Star auditions..and--go figure--I made it all the way to the TV show... Nashville Star I also toured with Steve Holy as his guitar player and backup vocalist as well as Dean Miller and Lila McCann!
Needless to say Sean's live show is nothing short of National quality and will have you quickly become an instant fan!
