The Hillbilly Mafia
For a band that began its journey in 2008, The Hillbilly
Mafia has managed to rack up quite an impressive array of industry accolades to
compliment their busy performance schedule. The HBM is a five piece country band
specializing in nothing but foot-stomping traditional and new "Top-40" Country.
What makes the Hillbilly Mafia unique is that the band is fronted by not one,
but two talented lead singers, with two very distinct vocal styles: Sonny
Winberg has a traditional country voice in the lines of George Strait, while
Joshua Michael's deep voice provides the punch needed to deliver the Mafia's
current party songs. Along with the multi-talented Jeff Waldeland on steel
guitar, electric guitar and banjo, and the newest members, Kevin Milton (drums)
and Andru Thomas (lead guitar), The Hillbilly Mafia is ready to deliver a
performance of high quality "Top 40" Country for you, your friends and/or your
venue.
Despite the relative newness of the band, all Hillbilly Mafia band members
are seasoned performers and have many years experience in full and part-time
touring acts. Beside the casinos, fairs and clubs, the members have also
performed with national acts like Joe Nichols, Jason Aldean, Confederate
Railroad, and Craig Morgan. Combined, the Mafia has over 60 years of experience
on stage, plus members of the Mafia have traveled throughout the US and overseas
to play their unique blend of country music. Always willing to please, The
Hillbilly Mafia continues to perform songs from the "Golden Era of Country" by
artists like Merle Haggard, Hank Williams and Johnny Cash, but also keep things
fresh, performing new hits by current stars like Brad Paisley, Dierks Bentley
and Joe Nichols. With new songs being added every month, the band will continue
to keep the show fresh and exciting. Visually, the band's new sound and lighting
production, along with a few surprises, continue to keep things interesting and
keep the crowd coming back for more!!
