Biography
Jay Carpenter and Jack Gibson began singing together in 1994 as front men in
the Tilford Hayes band. The band played around the Midwest getting air play on
eight different radio stations. Their CD, "WHAT'S IT GONNA TAKE?"was recorded at
the Junction Studio in Madison TN. and mastered by John Sturdavant, Jr.
Both Carpenter and Gibson have won WVMA awards including: Male Vocalist of
the year, Musician of the Year, and Vocal Group of the Year between 1994 and
2000.
The group has performed shows at the Indianapolis 500 and the Indianapolis
Colts "Colt's Stampede", they have also opened for major acts such as Montgomery
Gentry, Travis Tritt, Marty Stuart, Ricky Lynn Gregg, Kitty Wells, Little Jimmy
Dickens, Diamond Rio, David Allen Coe, Jerry Reed, Gary Allen, Doug Stone and
many more.
The group is currently working on their new CD that should be released in
the spring of 2008. Carpenter Gibson is now touring the United States, and have
some very exciting things in the works for the near future.
